  • Te Awamutu E-Waste Collection

    December 1, 2024  9:00 am - 11:00 am
420 Albert Park Drive, Te Awamutu 3800, New Zealand

Bring your e-waste along to our Te Awamutu collection day in the car park of the ASB Te Awamutu Sports Club SH3. There is a small per-item cost involved in disposing of your e-waste - see our website at urbanminers.nz for the latest pricelist. This is purely to cover our costs. This is a joint venture between Cambridge and Te Awamutu Rotary clubs, is run entirely by volunteers, and is not for profit.
If it has a plug, a battery, or a solar panel and is at the end of its useful life it becomes electronic waste (e-waste). Many people simply send these products to landfill - we want to stop this and get our community members recycling their e-waste!

  • Cambridge Lions Market

    December 8, 2024  8:30 am - 1:00 pm
Cambridge Memorial Park, Cambridge 3434, New Zealand

A team of Urban Miners will be selling refurbished devices such as PCs, laptops, tablets and cellphones. Our team of experts have assessed these as being too good to dismantle for recycling and have given them a new lease of life. These are still old machines so overall life-expectancy and battery health will not be as good as brand new devices and we have priced them accordingly.
Urban Miners are a not-for-profit social enterprise and proceeds are used to keep our e-waste recycling fees as low as possible.
While we always aim to run our stall at the market, we rely on good weather on the day, as electronic equipment and rain are not a good combination! So please keep an eye on our FaceBook page for cancellations on the morning of the event if the weather is poor.
