Waipa e-waste recyclers Urban Miners are very proud to be named as a finalist for the Outstanding Collaboration Award at the 2023 New Zealand Sustainable Business Awards.
The Outstanding Collaboration Award, sponsored by the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment, recognises organisations that create and foster connections that generate positive impacts on people’s lives. These connections draw on the strengths and unique advantages of those involved to deliver impact which could not have been achieved alone.
Urban Miners was named as one of ten inspiring finalists from around New Zealand for the Outstanding Collaboration Award.
In their entry, Urban Miners recognised their collaboration with community organisations (Cambridge Rotary, Te Awamutu Rotary, Cambridge Lions, Mana Hapori), schools (Cambridge High School, Cambridge Primary School), not-for-profit organisations (Cambridge Community House), businesses, and local government (Cambridge and Te Awamutu Community Boards, Waipā District Council) to deliver its e-waste service to the Waipa community.
Eco-Action Nursery Trust, Ōtautahi-Christchurch & Waitaha-Canterbury community was announced as the overall winner at the awards ceremony in November.
Urban Miners would like to congratulate them and all the other finalists for the impactful work that they do.
